Under the Sea
From a woman who hails from Italy, France and Chile I would expect nothing less than whimsy and delight. That is exactly what Mesi Jilly creates in her jewelry. Using environmentally safe practices to harvest shells (don't worry, I checked) she then gussies them up with semiprecious stones, silver and gold. It's not hard to imaging this sparkler dangling summer sun-kissed hand; pretty fabulous, no?

Elva Fields
I'm flipping for Elva Fields and her jewelry collections. Retro pieces meet Jcrew styling in the green Deb collection to give new meaning to phrase "statement pieces". Elva manages to make heavy pieces still feel feminine and glamorous. Don't you think these are the perfect accessories to celebrate the coming of sunny days ahead? Happy Friday!

Alphabet Ears
Melissa Joy Manning's recycled gold alphabet stud earrings would be a punchy, utilitarian touch to any outfit, don't you think?
Just add them to the long list of wearable creations from this artist. Her portfolio is like looking through the jewelry box you wish you had.

Statement Jewelry For Fall
Inspired by the Henri Bendel statement necklace featured in this months Lucky Magazine, I am looking to add one to my fall wardrobe.
Circ has some beautiful pieces with the same feel; an amalgamation of pretty details that would an outfit really pop. Plus, I love that they are crafted using recycled vintage baubles.
I'm also rather partial to this Fruit Salad Bracelet by Raquel Castillo, so fun!

Astor Street Collection
I'm a BIG fan of the statement necklaces popping up everywhere this season. Tempted by the ones at Jcrew (above), I happily discovered a Chicago artist who's new line of jewelry has the same feel.
The Astor Collection by Jess Jewelry is sweet, wearable and affordable.

The FLORA collection by the inventive Brazilian team of Nugaard Designs, is as easy on the eyes as it is on the planet. Exotic and beautiful leaves are dipped into precious metals to create unique, one-of-a- kind pieces that I’m just crazy about!

Alabama Chanin Part II
Because I just can’t get enough, I thought I’d share with you the photos from Alabama Chanin’s fashion week show. Opting out of the big tent, big hype atmosphere, AC had the models mingle and chat while being photographed in the newest wares.
The detail in this cardigan is so beautiful yet very wearable and the new jewelry collection below has caught my eye for all its interesting detail as well.
Eco-chick was lucky enough to attend the show and took these great pics, for more see her post.

Necklace Makeover
The muted, windblown, rain-filled weather that greeted me this morning begged for some inspired dressing. I don’t know about you, but putting on something I love somehow makes a dreary day a little less so.
I love pearls. And I love broaches. (Carrie Bradshaw’s flower pinning phase was my favorite style moment on SATC )
So today, that’s is where I started...
Three strands of imperfectly perfect pearls that I love to pile on together.

So today, that’s is where I started...
Three strands of imperfectly perfect pearls that I love to pile on together.
And two of my favorite little pins.
In the end I think I found a perfect marriage of the two and a whole new look.
More conscious than ever that reworking my wardrobe and making new life for old items is a green style tenant, I think I’ve found my new favorite way to recycle.

Dinosaur Designs
Based in Sydney, Dinosaur Designs, is a treasure trove of unique hand made jewelry and housewares. The team of designers behind these creations take their inspiration from nature and in return care to cultivate environmentally responsible initiatives in their business.
I'm particularly drawn to their pearl collection; the ethereal colors and striking simplicity are beautiful. Moreover, a portion of the profits for this collection go to the World Wildlife Fund to protect the Australia's Coral Sea
